Why prototype with CETS
Prototypes typically ship in three to five working days, with a committed date on every quote.
Tough, rigid, high temperature, clear and biocompatible resins, plus nylon and carbon filled nylon for parts that take load.
Fine features, threads, text and thin walls hold on the Form 4B, and every prototype is checked against the model before it ships.
Order a single prototype or a batch. Your files stay confidential and are never used as work samples without permission.
CETS provides rapid prototyping services to manufacturing engineers, process engineers, design engineers and tool and die makers across Puerto Rico. Whether you need a fast form model to check clearance, a prototype that takes load, or a biocompatible prototype for a medical device design review, we print it in an engineering material with a published data sheet and inspect it before it leaves.
Prototype manufacturing runs on the Formlabs Form 4B for resin and the Formlabs Fuse for nylon, so the file that made the prototype can make the production batch later without a second engineering job. Material is chosen by what the part has to survive, not by which printer is free.
Engineers searching for rapid prototyping or fast prototyping in Puerto Rico usually have a design review on the calendar. Send the STEP file today and the prototype is on your bench before the meeting, in the material the final part will use.
Pick the right prototype
Not every prototype needs to survive a drop test. Telling us what you want to learn is what keeps the cost down.
| The question | What we build | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Does it fit? | Fast form model, low cost resin | 1 to 2 d |
| Does it work? | Functional part in Tough 2000 or Nylon 12 | 3 to 5 d |
| Does it hold up? | Rigid 10K, Nylon 11 CF or High Temp | 4 to 6 d |
| Can it touch a patient or skin? | BioMed resin on the Form 4B | 5 to 8 d |
| Does it match the model? | Scan verification on the MetroY Ultra, with a written deviation record | On request |

FAQ
SLA parts hold fine features and tight fits well, with layer resolution down to 25 microns. SLS nylon is tougher and slightly less precise on very small features. We confirm which process meets your tolerance before we print.
One part is fine. Most rapid prototyping jobs are one to five pieces, and the same file can run a production batch later without changes.
Yes. Files stay between us and are never shown as work samples without written permission. If you need an NDA in place first, we will sign yours.
Yes. We serve plants across Puerto Rico and ship finished prototypes to the US mainland by freight. Files can be sent from anywhere.
Upload a file or a sketch. You get a quote with the material, the finish and the date in one business day.
Inquire now
A drawing, a CAD file or a photo of the part is enough to start. We reply with a written quote in one business day.
