Who we are.

An engineering shop, not a printing service. CETS designs, reverse engineers, builds and verifies parts in Puerto Rico, for plants on the island, on the US mainland and abroad.

How we work

One conversation, one accountable party.

Design and build together

The shop that decides what the part should be is the shop that makes it, which removes the slowest step: the handoff.

Bilingual by default

The engineer on the floor and the buyer in the office are not always the same person. Neither should translate a requirement to get a part made.

Published data sheets

Form 4B, Formlabs Fuse and the Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition, chosen so every material we quote and every measurement we report has a published specification behind it.

A record with every part

Part number, revision, material lot and a dimensional record leave with every job, so your quality team has something to file.

CETS is an engineering services company in Puerto Rico. Manufacturing engineers, process engineers, design engineers and tool and die makers bring us a broken part, a rough sketch or a file that is almost right, and get back a designed, built and measured part with the CAD and the record that go with it. Engineering services in Puerto Rico, delivered to the island, the US mainland and international customers in English or Spanish.

CETS is part of manufacturing in Puerto Rico: an engineering company that designs, scans and builds for the plants and shops around it, in Spanish and English.

What CETS is

Design and build. Reverse engineer and build. Under one roof.

CETS is built around a simple idea: the same shop that works out what a part should be should also be the shop that makes it and the shop that measures it. Design and build. Reverse engineer and build. Scan, model, print, verify, in one sequence with one accountable party.

That matters most when something has gone wrong. A part failed, a machine is down, a vendor disappeared. In those situations the slowest thing is not the printing, it is the handoff between the person who measures and the person who makes. We removed the handoff.

Everything runs in English and Spanish, from the first quote to the inspection record. CETS serves Puerto Rico and the US mainland, with international service available, and the documentation package travels with the part wherever it ships.

Other services

Divisions that will grow.

CETS is organised as divisions. The four services above are the ones with their own pages today. The work below is quoted on request and will open as a division of its own as demand grows.

Additional engineering and technical services are quoted on request. Ask us what else the shop can take on.

Engineering support beyond the four services above is scoped per project. Describe the need and we will tell you whether it fits.

New divisions are announced on this page as they open. Until then, the quote form is the fastest way to ask.

Quality and documentation

Every job leaves with a record.

Controlled documentation is part of the job, not an upgrade. Here is what runs on every order.

  • Part numbering and revision control. Every part gets an identifier and a revision letter, marked on the part where geometry allows.
  • Material traceability. Resin and powder are tracked by lot, and the data sheet for the exact material goes out with the job.
  • Dimensional record. Critical features are measured against the model and written down.
  • ISO 9001 roadmap. We operate to it today and are glad to walk your quality team through the current documentation package.

FAQ

Common questions

Is CETS a 3D printing service?

No. CETS is an engineering shop that designs, reverse engineers, builds and verifies parts. Printing on the Form 4B and the Formlabs Fuse is one step in that sequence, and it is the shortest one. The value is in the design review before the build and the scan verification after it.

Which languages and regions do you work in?

English and Spanish, from the first email to the inspection record. CETS serves Puerto Rico and the US mainland, with international service available; samples travel by courier and finished parts ship by freight.

What comes with a part?

A part number and revision letter, the Formlabs technical data sheet for the exact material and lot, the print and post-process record, a written dimensional record against the model, and the STEP and native CAD files you own. The Quality and Documentation page lists each record and when it arrives.

Start with one part.

Most projects start with a single part somebody needed quickly. That is a good way to find out whether we are useful to you.
