Delivered under your name

The additive partner for machine and job shops.

Custom parts manufacturing for the jobs that do not fit a spindle: the scan and CAD work for a part that arrived with no drawing, the master pattern, the soft jaws, the internal channel. Delivered under your name, to the date you gave your customer.

Why shops send us the odd jobs

Keep the spindles on the work that pays.

Your scan and CAD department

A part with no drawing goes on the scanner and comes back as a solid and a drawing you machine yourself. No CAD seat to buy, no one to hire.

The parts you cannot cut

Internal channels, undercuts, conformal jaws and one-offs where the setup outweighs the part. Printed in engineering resin or Nylon 12.

The file, when the file is the product

Many jobs end with a STEP, a native file and a drawing, and nothing printed at all. You cut it on your own machines.

White label, every time

Your part number on the part, your title block on the drawing, your paperwork in the box. Your customer deals with you.

CETS provides custom parts manufacturing to machine shops, job shops and tool and die makers as a quiet extension of their own floor. Shops send the jobs that would tie up a machine for a day and return an hour of billing: a customer part with no drawing, a casting pattern, a set of soft jaws shaped to a curved part, an insert with a channel no cutter can reach. Shops that outsource 3D printing this way keep their spindles on the metal work that pays and still say yes to the customer who walks in with a broken part and a deadline.

Every machine shop in Puerto Rico gets parts that arrive without a drawing and jobs that do not suit a mill. CETS is the partner for both: the scan and CAD department when the drawing is missing, and additive manufacturing for the parts you cannot cut.

What we make

The work a shop sends out, by type.

  • Scan-to-CAD models and drawings for parts that arrive with no drawing, so you can quote and cut them. How the file gets made
  • Master patterns for sand and investment casting, with shrink allowance and draft applied in the model
  • Check fixtures and soft jaws shaped to the part, so a curved or thin-walled piece is held without marking it
  • Soft tooling and mould inserts for short runs of urethane or silicone parts, before anyone commits to steel
  • Complex geometry and internal channels that a cutter cannot reach, printed as one piece instead of three bolted together
  • Short runs and one-offs where the setup would cost more than the part, in engineering resin or Nylon 12

3D printing for machine shops is not a replacement for the mill. It is the department that takes the jobs the mill should not be doing.

The file is the product

Many jobs end with a drawing, not a print.

A customer walks in with a worn gear, a bracket off a machine nobody supports, or a part that came out of another shop with no paperwork. You do not need us to make it. You need the solid and the drawing so you can. We scan it, rebuild a parametric model built for machining, with the datums and the tolerances where you would put them, and send the files. Your shop cuts the part.

Reverse engineering, when you want the part made too

White label

Your customer deals with you. We stay in the back room.

  • Parts carry your part number and revision where geometry allows, and no CETS marks anywhere
  • Drawings use your title block; STEP and native files are named to your numbering system
  • Shipments go to your shop, or straight to your customer with your paperwork, on request
  • Your NDA is signed before the first file moves, and your files are never used as work samples

Check fixtures and gauges usually print in Rigid 10K; soft jaws and patterns in Nylon 12. Rigid materials

FAQ

Common questions

My customer brought a part with no drawing. What do I send you?

The part, or a photo of it to start. We scan it on the Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition, rebuild a parametric solid, and issue a STEP, the native CAD file and a dimensioned drawing with the critical features called out, in 5 to 10 working days. The files are yours. Most shops then machine the part themselves.

Will my customer know CETS was involved?

Not unless you tell them. Parts carry your part number and revision, not ours, and no CETS marks. Drawings and files are titled to your shop. Shipments go to you or, on request, to your customer with your paperwork. We sign your NDA before the first file moves.

Which jobs should I send instead of machining them?

The ones where the setup costs more than the part: one-offs and quantities under about fifty, internal channels and undercuts a cutter cannot reach, conformal soft jaws, master patterns for casting, and check fixtures you need on the bench tomorrow. Keep the tight-tolerance metal work on your own spindles and send us the rest.

What file formats do you deliver?

STEP and the native CAD file on every job, plus a PDF drawing with the critical dimensions and the material called out. Tell us the CAM you run and we export what it reads. Scan data is kept on file so a second revision does not need a second scan.

Send a photo of the part your customer brought in.

A photo, the quantity and the date you promised are enough for a written quote in one business day, under your name from the first email.
