A flat lay of many custom manufactured parts and components

Industries we serve

What engineers actually send us.

Obsolete spares, line fixtures, gauges, functional prototypes, short production runs, parts verified against their CAD and the custom one-off nobody stocks. Sorted by who asks, what they ask for, and which industry it comes from.

Quotes in 1 business day One part or several hundred Puerto Rico, US mainland, international

Why they call us

One shop, one part, one business day.

Whatever the job is, it starts the same way and it moves at the same speed.

Quick turnaround

Quotes back in one business day, prototypes in three to five working days, and a committed date on every job rather than an estimate.

Design and build together

The same shop works out what the part should be and then makes it, so nothing waits on a handoff to a second vendor.

One part or several hundred

No minimum order. A single custom part is a normal job here, and the same file runs a production batch later without changes.

Three regions, two languages

Puerto Rico, the US mainland and international customers, quoted, built and documented in English or Spanish.

These are the industries we serve and the jobs that come with them. CETS works with manufacturing engineers, process engineers, design engineers and tool and die makers inside medical device, pharmaceutical, dental, aerospace, electronics and machine shop operations, in Puerto Rico, on the US mainland and internationally. Every job below is delivered through rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, additive manufacturing or fixture design, which is what 3D printing for engineers looks like when the same shop also designs and measures the part.

Who we build for

Four people call us, for four different reasons.

Our customers are the engineers and makers inside manufacturing operations, not procurement catalogues. Here is what each one asks us for.

Manufacturing Engineers

You own the line and the downtime. You need fixtures, guards and replacement parts fast enough that the schedule does not move.

  • Replacement parts for unsupported equipment
  • Line fixtures and locating nests
  • Machine guards and shrouds

Process Engineers

You are chasing scrap, cycle time and repeatability. Most of that is fixed with better locating and a faster in process check.

  • Go and no go gauges
  • Operator aids and ergonomic tooling
  • Handling trays that protect the part

Design Engineers

You need the geometry in your hand before the tooling quote lands. Three iterations this week beats one perfect drawing next month.

  • Functional prototypes in engineering materials
  • Fit and clearance checks on the real assembly
  • Biocompatible prototypes for design review

Tool & Die Makers

You can make anything, given a drawing and time. The problem is usually that there is no drawing, or there is no time.

  • Reverse engineering to a parametric CAD model
  • Master patterns and check fixtures
  • Soft tooling and mould inserts

Common jobs

Thirteen jobs that land on our bench.

Every one of these starts the same way: a photo, a file or the part itself, and a written quote back within one business day. Each card names the material or machine and links to the service that delivers it.

A reverse engineered replacement block beside the original metal part
Reverse Engineering

The spare part nobody sells anymore

A discontinued component with no drawing, scanned on the MetroY Ultra, rebuilt in CAD and manufactured in nylon or resin before the OEM would have shipped one.

How we do it
Blue printed fixtures holding parts on a production machine
Fixture Design

Assembly jigs and locating nests

Tooling that puts the part in the same place every time, printed in Rigid or Tough resin, so the operator cannot get it wrong and the scrap rate drops.

How we do it
Printed gauges and fixtures on a workbench next to digital calipers
Fixture Design

Go and no go gauges

A one second in process check that replaces a caliper reading, printed on the Form 4B and marked with a part number and a revision letter.

How we do it
Four printed iterations of a housing laid side by side
Rapid Prototyping

Three iterations before the tooling quote

Form, fit and function tested in real engineering resins and nylon, so the geometry is settled before anybody cuts steel.

How we do it
A single custom printed component on a light surface
Additive Manufacturing

The custom one-off nobody stocks

A single part, designed and built for one machine in one plant, in the material its failure mode calls for, because ordering a hundred to get one makes no sense.

How we do it
A production batch of identical black nylon parts
Additive Manufacturing

Short run production before injection molding

Tens or hundreds of end use parts from the same file on the Formlabs Fuse, bridging the gap while the tool is being cut or while volume is still uncertain.

How we do it
A printed centering block used as line tooling
Fixture Design

Handling trays that protect the part

Nests and trays in Nylon 12 that move delicate or finished parts between stations without contact damage or contaminated surfaces.

How we do it
Hands assembling wiring into a printed fixture on an electronics bench
Electronics

ESD safe fixtures for electronics assembly

Static dissipative holders, harness boards and trays for PCB and wiring work, printed in ESD resin on the Form 4B.

How we do it
A technician fitting a long printed bracket to a vehicle panel
Reverse Engineering

Guards, brackets and covers, reproduced

The plastic cover that cracked and the bracket that bent, remade stronger in carbon filled nylon instead of ordered and waited on.

How we do it
Gloved hands holding a clear printed housing beside an instrument
Pharmaceutical

Line aids for regulated production

Trays, nests and gauges for pharmaceutical lines, in materials with a published data sheet and with a written dimensional record per job.

How we do it
Medical device components including a handle and a surgical guide
Medical Device

Biocompatible device prototypes

Skin and tissue contact prototypes in BioMed resins on the Form 4B, for design review and usability work before committing to tooling.

How we do it
A test model mounted in a wind tunnel
Aerospace

Test articles and aero models

Light, dimensionally accurate models and test fixtures in Nylon 12 and High Temp resin for airflow, vibration and instrumentation work.

How we do it
A machined part being scanned with a handheld 3D scanner
3D Scanning & Inspection

A part verified against its CAD

A fabricated or worn part scanned on the Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition and compared to the model, with a deviation report your quality team can file.

FAQ

Common questions

My job is not on this list. Can you still help?

Almost certainly. These are the jobs that come up most often, not a limit. Describe the part and what it has to do, and we will tell you whether additive is the right process or point you somewhere better suited.

Can you handle both the design and the manufacturing?

Yes, that is the point. Design and build, or reverse engineer and build, happen in the same shop, so there is no handoff between the person who decides what the part should be and the person who makes it.

How quickly can you turn a job around?

Quotes go out within one business day. Prototypes typically take three to five working days, reverse engineering from a sample five to ten working days, and fixtures usually land in the same window. Every quote carries a committed date.

Do you work with plants outside Puerto Rico?

Yes. CETS serves Puerto Rico and the US mainland, with international service available. Samples travel by courier, finished parts ship by freight, and the documentation package goes with them in English or Spanish.

Describe the job. We will tell you what it takes.

A photo and a sentence about what goes wrong is enough to get a real number back within one business day.

Inquire now

Send us a plan. We’ll 3D print it for you.

A drawing, a CAD file or a photo of the part is enough to start. We reply with a written quote in one business day.
